Property tax agreement eludes lawmakers

House and Senate lawmakers negotiating a final version of property tax reform met today, but came no closer to a resolution.

Still, Rep. Bill Crawford, the Indianapolis Democrat who is among the conferees working to craft a compromise on House Bill 1001, said he is optimistic that a final bill will be agreed upon by the March 14 deadline.
