The fabulous month of May in Indianapolis is here! The weather seems to (finally) be warming up to feel like spring and nothing says spring in Indianapolis like the sound of IndyCar racers flying around the track at IMS. This month is filled with great activities all around town. Here are a few of our favorites:

Broadway smash “Wicked” is playing at the Old National Centre through May 13th! This musical is the winner of over 100 international awards, including a Grammy and three Tony Awards, Wicked is “Broadway’s biggest blockbuster” according to the New York Times!

Head to City Market’s west plaza for a free yoga class with YMCA instructor Katy Newton for their Free Fitness Friday! This yoga class will take place on City Market’s north mezzanine inside the Market House in the event of rain.

Rev is an evening of entertainment and fun! Guests will dine on driver-inspired cuisine, enjoy a variety of music and entertainment, and mingle with IndyCar drivers and racing legends.
Sunday Funday Brunch – Bloody Mary Fest
When: May 6th, 11:00AM

Sunday Funday is right! Hotel Tango will be featuring a Brunch Buffet by Indy Fresh Catering & Bloody Mary Bar complete with Hotel Tango spirits. 4 special Bloody Mary varieties highlighting different types of cuisine will be featured. Make sure you take an Uber to this one!

The 2018 version of the Virginia Avenue Music Fest will feature five days of live music in Fountain Square and Fletcher Place. This great event is free and open to all ages. Stop by one of the great, local restaurants in the area before or after for a meal!

The boys of May kick off their first real racing action of the month on the road course for the IndyCar Grand Prix. If you’re looking for a different experience than the Indy 500 and want to deal with a slightly smaller crowd, this a great event to check out!

Where: Daredevil Brewing Company (1151 N Main St. Speedway, IN 46224)
Love tacos? Love running? Need an excuse to enjoy a margarita or beer on a Tuesday night with friends? Daredevil Brewing Co will play host to this epic evening of fun, and Tacos & Tequila will cater. Race starts at 7 pm and at 7:01 pm, the Taco Bar complete with multiple Taco options, and chips/salsa will open!

Kickoff the summer festival season with the OneAmerica Broad Ripple Art Fair! Presenting art by more than 200 artists and artisans, and one-of-a-kind experiences, Indy’s Art Fair is a nationally ranked, highly selective, juried art fair. Everyone’s favorite Friday to call in sick to work is here! Be prepared for some of the best people watching around and the final day of practice leading up to the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday. This years concert features Train and Blues Traveler!

This one really doesn’t need an explanation. The largest single day sporting event in the world comes to IMS on May 27th. Go check it out!
