New Years is quickly approaching and you want to start things off next year with a bang, right? Luckily, whatever you’re in the mood for, there are a wide variety of things happening in Indianapolis for New Years Eve – so we hope you find something you like!

Family New Years Eve

When: 6:00 PM

Where: 650 W. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46204

Details: End the year with a bang with a family-friendly alcohol-free celebration in the Governor Frank O’Bannon Great Hall. Face painting, stilt walkers, clowns and music will highlight the evening. A balloon drop at 8 pm allows the little ones to celebrate the New Year in style. Cost: $7, member; $13, non-member. Reservations recommended.

New Year’s Eve Extravaganza

When: December 31 at 8:00 PM

Where: 355 W. City Center Dr., Carmel, IN 46032

Details: Ring in 2016 at the Center! The evening starts at 8 pm with parties throughout the Palladium featuring live entertainment by The Bishops and FlatBed Twitch. Plus, get your own chance to sing at the Palladium with karaoke provided by P3 Productions! The fun continues with a special performance at 10 pm by The Hot Sardines. Tickets: $100-$175. Include all live entertainment, a champagne toast, two drink vouchers, hors d’oeuvres, dancing, and more.

Annual Grateful New Year’s

When: 10:00 PM

Details: If you’re into listening music, look no further. This year in Broad Ripple, Hyryder will be performing a show on New Year’s Eve. One of Indianapolis’ best up and coming bands, Hyryder has amassed a dedicated fan base who pack venues throughout the Mid-West as well as throughout the country. Learn more about their sound here.

Bauble’s & Bubbles New Year’s Eve Celebration

When: 6:00 PM

Where: 6291 Cambridge Way, Plainfield, IN 46168

Details: Celebrate New Year’s Eve at the Grand Vineyard Room at Chateau Thomas Winery. This is an all-inclusive event. No need to drive home, your room is within walking distance from the winery. Check in begins at 3 pm. You may enjoy a breakfast buffet New Year’s Day and a late check out of 1 pm. Live music by Impasse begins about 9 pm. Cash bar available. Let our Chef know about your food allergies and we will be happy to accommodate the requests. Cost: $335 per couple.

Comedy Sportz New Year’s Eve Celebration

When: December 31

Where: 401 E. Michigan St., Indianapolis, IN 46204

Details: In a tradition that began on New Year’s Eve of 2011, CSz continues its New Year’s celebration at the Athenaeum! There will be two separate improv matches: one at 7:30 PM, where will count down to midnight in Greenland at 9pm, and the other beginning at 10:30 PM, which ends with a countdown to midnight in Indy! Both shows include the ComedySportz match, hats, noisemakers, and a sparkling cider toast. A cash bar, snacks and merchandise will also be available for purchase. This family-friendly event is sure to bring the laughter! Tickets: $18-$20.

Ciroc the New Year

Where: One Indiana Square, Ste. 905, Indianapolis, IN 46204

Details: Every girl dreams of wearing a tight, sequined little black dress at least once for New Year’s Eve and here’s your chance! Image 1st is pairing with Ciroc to throw a pretty wild party with a premium open bar all night, appetizers, champagne toast, and a special midnight presentation.

Countdown to Noon

When: December 31 at 10:00 AM

Where: The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis

Details: Drop by drop — North America’s largest water clock will Countdown to Noon with water. The annual tradition invites families to experience the countdown to a new year at a reasonable time for little ones by watching water cycle through the water clock. Grammy-nominated songwriter and singer Zak Morgan will play in the Sunburst Atrium 11:30 am-12:15 pm and 12:45-1:30 pm. He will lead count downs at noon and 1 pm. Festive party favors will be distributed while supplies last and there will be several hands-on activities, which share how other countries celebrate a new year.
