Domino’s Pizza will kick off a month of fundraising for Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent, with an 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM event on Saturday, June 28, 2008, at the Broad Ripple Domino’s store, 2101 E. 62nd St., Indianapolis.

Also on June 28, all 49 Domino’s Pizza locations in central Indiana will discount medium, one-topping pizzas to $3.99, with $1 from each pizza sold going to the hospital. In addition, many Domino’s delivery drivers are volunteering to donate half of their tips to the hospital every Wednesday in July, with a goal of raising $25,000.

The rain-or-shine kickoff event at the Broad Ripple Domino’s location will feature face-painting, clowns and a Moon Bounce as well as a tent and chairs to accommodate visitors.

“Being able to see these kids and their families smile and have a little fun while also helping to raise $25,000 for the hospital is an indescribable feeling,” said Gene Lancaster, local Domino’s Pizza owner. “These kids have been through a lot, and their determination can teach us a lot.”

“As a children’s hospital committed to providing the most compassionate and highly specialized care to patients and families throughout our state, we greatly appreciate the support of all Domino’s Pizza employees for this month-long fundraiser,” said Michele Spencer, director of development for Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St.Vincent. “Their generous efforts will make a significant difference for Indiana patients and families, and allow us to continue to appropriately address childhood illnesses such as cancer and heart disease.”
