How would the governor's property tax plan affect you?

Gov. Mitch Daniels has proposed (1) reducing property tax rates by shifting $2 billion in local obligations to the state and (2) capping the annual property tax for owner-occupied residences at 1 percent of the property’s gross assessed value.
