Happy Fourth of July!
If you are looking for a way to celebrate with friends or family, check out some of the exciting events happening around Indianapolis.
The biggest fireworks show in the city is the Donatos Downtown Freedom Blast, held at the Indiana War Memorial Grounds. The pre-show activities start at 6:30pm and feature live music, an interactive kids area (complete with face painting and bounce house), and an Indiana craft beer garden to entertain the adults. Chow down on tasty pizza, ice cream and sodas before the big fireworks show begins at 10pm. Learn more by visiting: http://www.wibc.com/freedomblast/index.aspx.
Is there anything more American than heading to the ballpark on the Fourth of July? The Indianapolis Indians will be taking on the Louisville Bats at 6:05pm. Stay after the game is over and enjoy a great view of the downtown fireworks show from Victory Field. Check out the Indians website for more information: http://indianapolis.indians.milb.com/index.jsp?sid=t484.
If you are in the Geist area, check out Blast on the Bridge, Geist Reservoir’s annual fireworks show. Before the big show at 10:15, there will be a boat parade and DJ to entertain the crowd. Visit: http://geistlake.com.
Up in Noblesville, you can catch the annual Fourth of July Festival and Car Show. Not only can you catch a car parade and fireworks show, but you can also watch the K9 Crew, a specialty dog trick show featured on NBC’s America’s Got Talent.
